Lichen-encrusted stone walls are a theme I have explored in many media. They remind me of summers growing up, with just enough structure to contain expansive possibilities. I enjoyed the technical challenge of registration for this triptych. When pushed to experiment with color, I was surprised that the least obvious combination resulted in the strongest work.
