Fatima Garcia Arellano | “Unconventional beauty”
This media file is attached to: Drawing
This drawing was a class project in which the objective was to combine a semi-big object with a small object and switch their traditional sizes. I choose a skeleton and a human iris as my main focus and later decided to add my favorite insects, moths and bees. I used different charcoal weights, pieces of cloth and blending stumps in order to create depth within the piece. As I created this drawing, I thought about things people don't ordinarily find beautiful, death and insects, and combining it with, in my opinion, the most beautiful part of humans, the eyes.
