Spanish GED? program
One of Portland Community College’s primary commitments is to contribute to the development and empowerment of all social groups in our community, which includes our Latino community. With that firm purpose, we offer the GED? in Spanish program, which gives our Spanish-speaking students the possibility of obtaining the necessary level of knowledge in the four subjects to be evaluated and being able to take their official GED? exams. All GED? diploma applicants have the option of being able to take the tests in the language of their choice, either Spanish or English.
The Spanish GED? program offers classes in Washington County and Southeast Portland. These classes help the student obtain the level of education and skills required to be able to take their official GED? tests in Spanish.
Due to the health measures adopted by COVID-19, the program currently offers classes in two modes of teaching; in-person and online in synchronous remote mode.
All our classes are taught in Spanish.
Most employers and training programs, colleges, and universities accept the GED? certificate as an equivalency to the high school or baccalaureate certificate.
