2018 LEAD Academy Graduation
Posted by mariah.cisse
The 10th cohort of the LEAD Academy celebrated the completion of the program at the graduation ceremony held at the Sylvania Campus on May 4th. President Mark Mitsui and Executive Vice-President Sylvia Kelley were there to share words of congratulations and hear feedback from the cohort on their experience.
The LEAD Academy is an intensive eight-month program, providing an in-depth, hands-on training in the leadership skills needed to be a successful community college administrator and leader. The program also requires that the cohort complete a capstone project. This year’s cohort decided to focus on the need for an onboarding program at PCC. Their project was called “Yes to Employee Success.” They worked collaboratively with the Office of Professional and Organizational 欧洲杯决赛竞猜app_欧洲杯足球网-投注|官网ment to determine what they could do to assist with the creation of an onboarding program. Their work included sending a survey to employees who began employment at PCC within the past two years to learn about their onboarding experience. They also surveyed and interviewed those who already conduct onboarding within their departments and divisions at PCC. You can read more about their research and recommendations.
