Section 8: Job Classification Review
When an employee believes that, due to substantial changes in their job, the job warrants review, the employee may submit a completed position description questionnaire electronically through AODOCs PASS, with approval signatures, to hrcomp-group@pcc.edu, Classification and Compensation Team, Total Rewards, People Strategy, Equity and Culture. Upon completion of the review by the classification analysts, the employee will be notified in writing of the decision.
Appeals
An employee may appeal the decision within 15 working days of receipt of the decision by sending an appeal letter to the Director of Total Rewards, People Strategy, Equity and Culture, who may elect to delegate the appeal to a designee or committee who will report directly to the Director of Total Rewards. Arrangements will be made for the employee to meet with the Director, designee or committee to discuss the appeal. Within 30 working days of this meeting a decision will be made by the Director of Total Rewards and a written response will be provided the employee. In formulating a decision, the Director of Total Rewards may consult with the Executive Officer to whom the employee ultimately reports. The decision of the Director of Total Rewards will be final and binding.
