The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
Additional information
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, as amended, is a civil rights law that protects individuals with disabilities from discrimination. As an entity under Title II of the ADA, Portland Community College complies with this mandate by providing access to services, programs and activities, and employment. Portland Community College provides reasonable accommodation for the known physical or mental impairments of otherwise qualified individuals, unless doing so would impose an undue hardship.
The ADA does not require that Portland Community College take any action that would fundamentally alter the nature of its programs or services, or impose an undue financial or administrative burden.
