Funding Guidelines
New Course Å·ÖÞ±¾öÈü¾º²Âapp_Å·ÖÞ±×ãÇòÍø-Ͷע|¹ÙÍøment
Funding is intended to support the implementation of the approved Course Content and Outcomes Guide (CCOG), and can be requested at any time between the VP for Academic Affairs approval of the CCOG, and the first term that the course is scheduled.
- New Course applications should be submitted after the VP for Academic Affairs has approved the course in CourseLeaf.
- Funding Approvals: New Course proposals that meet above criteria and submitted by the deadlines will be funded, until funds for the academic year are exhausted.
The Instruction Improvement Project
PCC aims to support? projects with broad curricular impact. In alignment with the college¡¯s one-district model and our focus on accessibility and cultural inclusiveness, funding will be prioritized for:
- Collaboration Across Departments and Programs: Updates to courses that enrich curriculum across disciplines and degree pathways.
- Multi-Course Integration: Enhancements to instructional platforms applied across multiple course offerings.
- Accessibility Improvements: Updates that promote accessible education and incorporate principles of Universal Design (UX).
- Inclusivity Focus: Initiatives grounded in a Trauma-Informed Lens and Cultural Awareness.
- Industry Alignment: Updates that ensure curriculum remains relevant and fosters competitive skills for students.
Funding Approvals: TIIP proposals are reviewed competitively by the Curriculum Å·ÖÞ±¾öÈü¾º²Âapp_Å·ÖÞ±×ãÇòÍø-Ͷע|¹ÙÍøment Committee, and forwarded to the VP of Academic Affairs for final approval. Fully approved and complete applications will be funded in order received until funds for the academic year are exhausted.
Funding and Time Considerations for TIIP: Funded projects are expected to be completed within the designated academic period. Allocated funds are specific to the approved projects for the relevant academic fiscal year and may not roll over. Stipend disbursement occurs in two phases: after mid-term report submission, and upon final report submission and approval. Please keep this in mind when planning your workload to ensure smooth project execution and timely reporting.
Applications Requiring Adjustments: In cases where additional information is requested for project funding, applicants will have 4 weeks from Committee approval to re-submit materials.
