Job Summary
Under the direction of management, incumbent is responsible for ensuring that PCC students, faculty and staff are adhering to federal, state and local Infection Disease Control regulations and guidelines.?? Incumbent will promote and audit COVID-19 health and safety compliance by students, faculty and staff.? Incumbent will document compliance to Oregon and local public health authorities and Center for Disease Control standards, requirements imposed on PCC by professional industry organizations, and PCC’s internal health and safety guidelines, policies and procedures.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs health and safety compliance audits and ensure adherence to all internal health and safety guidelines, policies and procedures are maintained by staff, faculty and students.
- Assists in creating audit plans based upon PCC operational status and COVID-19 regulations and guidelines; determines the number and frequency of audits.
- Performs compliance audits throughout the district, including any required follow-up.
- Documents health and safety compliance audit findings timely and accurately.
- Documents, analyzes, and reports internal audits to verify conformance or nonconformance and effectively communicate audit results.
- Attends health and safety compliance auditing training and auditing programs to remain current on best practices to perform audits.
- Evaluates all audit procedures to maintain accuracy with all internal standards. Recommends changes to audit processes as a result of assessments.
- Identifies and addresses risk areas as they relate to COVID-19 health and safety compliance.
- Facilitates follow-up actions from compliance audit findings including, but not limited to, directing non-compliance conduct matters to the appropriate area such as the Student Conduct Office or Human Resources.
- Provides COVID-19 Health and Safety Compliance consultation services to internal stakeholders. Advises faculty and staff on best practices related to COVID-19.
- Works with EH&S Manager and COVID-19 Reopening Office, as needed, in addressing district-wide health and safety compliance inquiries including questions regarding engineering controls, administrative procedures and personal protective equipment.

- Represents PCC EHOS and serves as a liaison with applicable internal and external departments and entities regarding COVID-19 health and safety compliance matters.
- Positions in this classification may perform all or some of the responsibilities above and all positions perform other related duties as assigned.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Work is performed both in an office environment and in the field with frequent interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule.? Regular travel between all PCC locations using a personal vehicle and/or a college vehicle is required.? Position involves occasional bending, standing, kneeling, reaching below and above shoulders, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds while performing job duties.? Walking, entering dusty/dirty environments, may be part of routine activities depending on work locations.? Working hours may vary and evening and/or weekend work is required.? Occasional lifting, guiding and/or carry of materials may be required.? May be exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, noise and temperature extremes.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health or related field.? Experience performing the duties of the position may substitute for the degree requirement on a year for year basis.??Two years of experience performing compliance audits, process reviews or demonstrated knowledge of regulatory requirements.? Must possess a valid Oregon driver’s license.

- Applicable Federal, State and local laws, rules and regulations, including Oregon OSHA;
- Safety and Environmental hazard identification methods;
- Implementing successful safety and compliance programs and policies;

- Preparing and maintaining records and electronic files;
