Under the direction of management, the Multimedia 欧洲杯决赛竞猜app_欧洲杯足球网-投注|官网ment Specialist develops, designs, codes, and delivers digital products such as graphics, animations, imaging, audio and video displays, and other interactive media on a variety of web platforms. Using programming and design knowledge, this position provides creative and technical expertise and acts as subject matter expert in digital product development. The incumbent will be responsible for training and guiding student or casual staff and/or reviewing their work. This role works in collaboration with faculty and staff to support equitable student success.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Translates content into multimedia products in formats including, but not limited to, video, audio, graphics, digital animations and HTML.
- 欧洲杯决赛竞猜app_欧洲杯足球网-投注|官网s, designs, codes, and delivers a variety of inclusive web-based multimedia content, styles, templates, and interactive multimedia that can be viewed across multiple platforms.
- Integrates external applications with existing systems, such as the learning management system, including writing code and scripts as needed.
- Documents, tests, implements, and maintains web pages and multimedia using various web publishing, editing and graphics applications.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to understand project needs and requirements; designs and creates original instructional materials and interactive multimedia.
- Writes efficient computer code or scripts to implement project parameters, ensuring that sound, graphics, animations and timings work as intended and make good use of processing and data storage capacity.
- Conducts quality assurance through usability and accessibility testing of content, investigates programming issues, and coordinates resolutions of findings.
- Trains and coordinates the work of casual staff on media development tools, processes, and design practices.
- Provides technical support and training to staff on web-based styles, templates, graphics generation, and media created for instructional use.
- Researches, evaluates, and recommends emerging and new technologies for instructional use.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting to make further adaptations, patches or rewrites to the code.
- Ensures change control processes are followed with updates to existing code including documentation, notifying stakeholders, and version control.
- Communicates all changes, updates, and new solutions to all stakeholders, including written documentation and user guides in a central repository.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Work is performed generally in an office setting. Prolonged sitting and computer usage is required. Learned physical skill required to perform keyboarding function. There may be occasional travel between campuses or to off-site meetings.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree in a computer-related discipline. Relevant experience may substitute for post secondary education. Two (2) years of experience in web tool usage and support which includes web design, graphic design, or visual arts experience or training.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of:
- Current delivery media formats, including MP3, MP4, JPG, PNG, GIF, SVG, SRT, VTT, HTML, CSS;
- Current web design standards, regulations, laws and trends, including Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG);
- Web design, graphic design and information architecture;
- Common web development tools and coding/programming;
- Current laws regarding media accessibility and copyright;
- Commonly used caption formats and file conversion programs.
Skills in:
- Programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python;
- Multimedia applications including, but not limited to, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, H5P,? Camtasia, Microsoft Office, and tools for animation, content authoring, simulations;
- Organizing and keeping records;
- Assessing project needs and developing and promoting effective solutions;
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships;
- Analyze and resolve problems with minimal supervision;
- Evaluating accessibility using a variety of tools and manual testing;
- Collaborating with faculty and staff to support equitable student success.
Ability to:
- Learn new computer/media systems and respond quickly to constantly changing technology;
