Under the direction of management, the Director of Academic Affairs/Student Affairs Application Systems & Support has overall responsibility and accountability to oversee the strategic operations of technology systems and support for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs divisions, which includes planning, organizing, and managing applicable functional areas in support of College objectives. 欧洲杯决赛竞猜app_欧洲杯足球网-投注|官网s and provides strategic direction with management in user support and training, technology adoption, implementation and upgrading of applications, software, and/or other technological systems. Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides strategic and operational leadership and accountability for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs administrative applications. Serves as key liaison across departments to provide strategic direction, communications, direct training and services.
- Oversees training design team and engages with the department and/or service area to create and manage training and resources. Cultivates continuous learning and best practices and leads the development of the technical expertise needed to meet long-term business objectives.
- Directs mission critical technology systems and support to maintain business continuity, including responding to crises and emergencies.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to develop application integration and analytics that meet the changing needs of the divisions’ digital future. Ensures that developed and commercial applications meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.
- Engages in divisions’ goal setting and planning, including short-term and long-term planning. Provides business insights, performs needs assessments and modifies services and programs accordingly.
- Builds and maintains collaborative and productive partnerships with IT and other College departments to drive College strategy; liaises with user and technical groups, and serves as a high-level subject matter expert (SME) in the functional technical management of systems administration.
- Supervises management, academic professionals, classified staff, technical/support, interns and/or student staff. Reinforces staff’s development of PCC’s leadership competencies. Hires, evaluates, trains, disciplines and recommends dismissal of staff as necessary.

Accountable for the maintenance of accurate and complete system documentation and business records; provides oversight of quality assurance at technical and procedural levels.
- Manages governance activities and has responsibility for improving the quality and managing the protection of sensitive data and information assets. Establishes and ensures adherence to a data governance framework for data policies, standards, and practices to achieve the required level of consistency, quality, and protection to meet overall business needs.
- Supervises and supports the implementation of new technology systems, sustaining operations, updates, testing, and troubleshooting. Tracks and tests new technologies and techniques. Establishes procedures to support research and development activities to determine the suitability of new technology and procedures.
- Exercises leadership in achieving optimal organizational efficiency and effectiveness, including initiatives to improve work processes/policies, staff performance, and leverage and improve systems. Reviews innovations and trends in technology for institutional applicability.
- Manages and maintains multiple related technology tool licenses, contracts and vendor relationships. Analyzes and makes recommendations for the purchase of new technology solutions.
- Oversees, analyzes, and makes budget decisions in alignment with College strategy, values and priorities. Forecasts funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies. Approves expenditures and implements budgetary adjustments as appropriate.
- Participates in/on a variety of meetings, committees, task forces, and/or other related groups to communicate information regarding College-wide technology services, programs, areas of opportunity, and/or other pertinent information as appropriate.
- Supports, implements and promotes advancement of the district’s equity goals and assists in the hiring of a staff that reflects the diversity of the district. Participates in and supports activities that enhance equity-minded recruiting, hiring, and employee retention practices.

Work Environment
Work environment includes frequent disruptions and changes in priorities. Work is generally performed in an office environment with frequent interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule. Working hours may vary and some evening or weekend work is required. Frequent travel to other locations is required. No special coordination beyond that used for normal mobility and handling of everyday objects and materials is needed to perform the job satisfactorily.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Education, Business, Organizational 欧洲杯决赛竞猜app_欧洲杯足球网-投注|官网 or related discipline. Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis. Five years (5) progressively responsible professional information technology experience including applications systems management, information management, and analysis. Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
