Job Summary

Under the direction of management, oversees the day-to-day operations of district-wide Enrollment Services, including admissions, registration, and operation of the Answer Centers. 欧洲杯决赛竞猜app_欧洲杯足球网-投注|官网s, recommends, plans, and administers admission and registration policies and procedures, dual admission with partner institutions, oversees related systems support and regulatory compliance. Interprets and provides critical analysis to inquiries from College departments, educational institutions, the community, and/or external agencies. Collaborates with student recruitment to ensure a seamless transition to enrolled student status. Supervises administrative services support staff. Researches and resolves complex student and technical issues.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Plans, organizes, maintains, and manages the processes and operations of admission, registration and Answer Center services for the College; manages activities of the Enrollment Services department to include planning, implementing, administering and evaluating projects and services impacting the College operations from an admission/registration and new student on-boarding
  2. In collaboration with the Office of the Registrar, develops, recommends, organizes and administers the College’s policies and procedures pertaining to the admission, on-boarding, and registration of all students including new, transfer, former, continuing, credit and non-credit students. Serves as liaison to PCC departments and other colleges and universities.
  3. Participates in the development of college-wide recruitment and retention plans and oversees technology to support outreach and tracking of prospective and admitted students.

  5. Supervises academic professional staff, classified staff, and/or technical/support staff. Performs both direct and indirect supervision through subordinates. Hires, trains, mentors, and evaluates employees in the division. Disciplines and recommends dismissal of staff as necessary.
  6. Manages in-person operations at four full access campus locations as well as serving remote students through online, telephone and other virtual channels. Functions as the primary coordinator of the work of campus Answer Centers, providing one-stop student support through integration of Enrollment Services, Financial Aid, and Student Account services.
  7. Serves as the functional systems administrator and data custodian for systems supporting prospective student inquiry, admissions, registration, and new student on-boarding. Manages access and permissions to these systems, researches and diagnoses issues from a “systems” perspective. Designs strategies to resolve system and procedural problems and coordinates system-related efforts with the IT and other departments as appropriate. Advises on improvements to these systems and coordinates the testing of admission and registration module upgrades.
  8. Collects and analyzes a variety of complex data and information regarding admission, registration, online processes, telephone helpline, and direct services. Summarizes findings in applicable reports or other communication mediums and regularly presents data on admissions and enrollment trends to a variety of stakeholder audiences.
  9. Manages the dual admissions process with partner institutions. Serves as the liaison to university colleagues to research, resolve and respond to student issues. Coordinates and develops new partnerships. Collaborates with partner schools to develop dual admission applications, processes, and information forms.
  10. Collaborates with staff, faculty, administrators, and internal departments to research and resolve complex student issues relating to admission, dual enrollment, registration, late drops, refunds, administrative drops, and withdrawals. Monitors compliance with government regulations; ensures that FERPA and Gramm, Leach & Bliley standards are adhered to with regard to admission, registration, student payment and related student records. Oversees the retention, security, and confidentiality of student records.
  11. Publishes the schedule of admission and registration dates and times. Establishes and maintains an admission and registration annual calendar of events and tracks benchmark activities. Maintains the admission and registration web site information; as well as admission, registration, and records area of MyPCC Portals Virtual Advisor product.
  12. Monitors department budget, ensuring compliance with applicable restraints; implements and allocates resources following budget approval; approves expenditures.
  13. Participates in a variety of meetings, committees, taskforces, and/or other related groups to communicate information and facilitate continuous improvement of programs and services. Provides training for stakeholder departments on process and procedures for updating student information.
  14. Oversees the issuing of student/staff identification cards and related equipment and supplies.
  15. Positions in this classification may perform all or some of the responsibilities above and all positions perform other related duties as assigned.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Work is generally performed in an office environment with frequent interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule. No special coordination beyond that used for normal mobility and handling of everyday objects and materials is needed to perform the job satisfactorily.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a student services-related field, education or business or other related field.?Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.?Five (5) years of progressively responsible, professional level experience in higher education, in admissions/registration or student services, including four (4) years in a management or leadership capacity.
