Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Designs training programs including curriculum and delivery methods for college employees on various subjects including using college supported software and tools used to support human resources processes.
  2. Delivers in-person and online training.
  3. Designs, develops, indexes, and maintains process and technical documentation.

  5. Monitors end-user feedback, process changes and systems development efforts to facilitate continuing improvement of training and documentation.

  7. Analyzes business processes with subject matter experts. ?Identifies supporting technology needs, and documents new processes. ?Promotes the use of technology and technology tools to support continued efficiency and improvement in departmental processes.
  8. Maintains online content, including coordinating, updating and maintaining user interfaces, documenting processes and policies.
  9. Promotes training opportunities and resources to college employees.
  10. Coordinates training, documentation and talent management system efforts with other district training resources.
  11. Collaborates with peer trainers and systems managers to ensure business process training needs are met across the organization in a consistent manner.
  12. Evaluates emerging training technology and tools.
  13. Positions in this classification may perform all or some of the responsibilities above and all positions perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s degree in a computer-related discipline, education, human resources or related field. Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis. Two years of experience documenting, training, and supporting end users on systems software or business processes.

Work Environment and Physical Characteristics

Work environment is in an office and includes typical computer-related noise levels and paper or equipment generated dust. Occasional travel between campuses and off-site locations. Must constantly keep up with software and system upgrades in order to support end-users. Learned physical skill is required to perform keyboarding and use peripheral equipment. Occasional lifting of equipment or materials. Extended periods of sitting or standing to perform computer applications or conduct training.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of:
