grad at graduation on stageUnder the direction of management, the Manager of Career Pathways and STEP Programs administers and manages Career Pathways and College specific STEP (SNAP Training and Employment Program) programs to include program design, development and implementation.? The position responds to inquiries from College departments, the community, and/or external agencies and supervises administrative services professionals, technical/support and/or classified staff.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Manages Career Pathways and STEP programs, which includes: monitoring compliance with multiple federal, state, and private grants, maintaining intake and accountability procedures, and maintaining grant reporting and records.
  2. Supervises academic professionals, technical/support, and/or classified staff. Hires, evaluates, trains, disciplines and recommends dismissal of staff as necessary.
  3. Analyzes, reviews, and develops administrative and programmatic systems, procedures and data to ensure effectiveness of programs and compliance with internal and external requirements.
  4. Collects and analyzes a variety of complex data and information.? Performs statistical analysis and summarizes findings in applicable reports or other communication mediums.? Assesses needs and opportunities.
  5. Advises students, faculty, and staff on a variety of issues related to Career Pathways and STEP programs.
  6. Participates in/on a variety of meetings, committees, task forces, and/or other related groups to communicate information regarding services, programs, areas of opportunity, and/or other pertinent information as appropriate; may represent the District on Local, State, and National committees, advocacy groups, and/or other related groups; confers with College leadership and a variety of external organizations, including governmental agencies regarding programs.

  8. Serves as a liaison with other departments and students within the College in order to provide information on available resources, programs, and/or services.

  10. Prepares and delivers presentations regarding Career Pathways and STEP programs; facilitates meetings on program services and issues; attends professional conferences and training sessions.
  11. Supports, implements and promotes advancement of the district’s equity goals and assists in the hiring of a staff that reflects the diversity of the district.? Participates in and supports activities that enhance equity-minded recruiting, hiring, and employee retention practices.
  12. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Work Environment

Work environment includes frequent disruptions and changes in priorities. Work is generally performed in an office environment with frequent interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule. Working hours may vary and some evening or weekend work is required. Frequent travel to other locations is required and possession of a current driver license. No special coordination beyond that used for normal mobility and handling of everyday objects and materials is needed to perform the job satisfactorily.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in Administration, Education, Organizational 欧洲杯决赛竞猜app_欧洲杯足球网-投注|官网ment, Social Science or related field and three (3) years progressively responsible experience in program management/program coordination related to area of assignment, including two (2) years of supervisory experience.

OR Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, Education, Organizational 欧洲杯决赛竞猜app_欧洲杯足球网-投注|官网ment, Social Science or related field AND five (5) years progressively responsible experience in program management/program coordination related to the area of assignment including two (2) years of supervisory experience.

OR Bachelor’s Degree in any any field AND seven (7) years progressively responsible experience in program management/program coordination related to the area of assignment including two (2) years of lead or supervisory experience.

OR nine (9) years of progressively responsible experience in program management/program coordination related to the area of assignment including two (2) years of lead or supervisory experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of:
  • Supervisory principles;

  • Working with diverse academic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, staff and partners.

  • Negotiate and monitor multiple contracts and contract amendments;
  • Manage healthy conflict to resolve issues in alignment with College mission and goals.
