Fab Lab FAQs
What is the Fab Lab and how can I access it?
The PCC OMIC Training Center Fab Lab is a space for PCC Students & clubs, local schools, and the Columbia County community to come together to learn new skills, share ideas, and make fun things!
The Fab Lab has basic materials supplied for free because we don’t want cost to prohibit anyone from using the space. For larger scale projects, please email for guidance.
Some equipment requires hands-on training, like the laser cutters, CNC routers, and 3d printers, so we can maintain a safe lab setting. There will be scheduled training days you can sign up for or training can be scheduled one-on-one when time is available.
General Fab Lab open shop days are for ages 16+, but there are many days where all ages are welcome or are designed specifically for kids. See the calendar on pcc.edu/maker.
