Multimedia & Content Strategy is a division of the PCC Marketing and Communications Division, providing support in video production, live events, digital media, and more.

The mission of Multimedia & Content Strategy is to acknowledge and inspire students by delivering innovative, high-quality multimedia content that supports their academic journey and enriches their campus experience.

We are committed to creating engaging, accessible, and inclusive digital experiences that reflect the diverse voices and needs of our student body. Through collaboration and creativity, we strive to enhance learning, foster community, and provide resources that resonate with and support the unique aspirations of every PCC student.

Our Work

Video Production: Guided by our partnerships with student life and engagement, MCS looks to create relevant narratives that will support student interests and experiences within the PCC communities. The content will promote student life culture and events, highlight student journeys, and build communities through access to behind the scenes content, testimonials, event coverage, and more.

Podcast: MCS supports the production of podcast episodes highlighting industry trends, career advice, and student success stories. By expanding new media channels such as podcasts, our team’s goal is to create engaging and accessible mobile content.

Live Video: With a capacity for live event productions, MCS supports student engagement through livestream on various media platforms. This content can include student events, campus-wide events, live social media content, and more.

Social Media: Utilizing our multimedia production capabilities, MCS produces content for our various PCC social media channels. Our content includes highlights of student work, college events, and promotional materials including quick tutorials, student project showcases, behind-the-scenes footage, and event recaps.

Digital Graphics: Using our multimedia expertise, the MCS team provides both static and motion graphics as assets for college-wide campaigns, initiatives, and more. In collaboration with Marketing, we produce materials to support branding initiatives such as social media campaigns, broadcast, advertising, and more.

Media Kits and PR Packages: Our team also helps produce and maintain branded multimedia materials for use outside agencies (ex: news outlets) and internal communications to promote PCC. In collaboration with Public Relations and the rest of the Marketing and Communications division, we strive to create brand unity across all of our assets.

Our Channels

Youtube is our main hub for PCC video tutorials, education content, events, and project showcases.

Instagram is used to engage our community through visuals and stories highlighting student work.

LinkedIn connects us with our alumni and industry partners, showcasing student success stories and industry related opportunities.

PCC Education Channel 27 is our community-access cable channel, which distributes PCC video content to the Portland metropolitan area through Comcast. CH27 SD / CH327 HD broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Working with Us

The Multimedia & Content Strategy team partners with PCC leadership, student groups, key academic departments, and more in order to stay on top of student needs and current industry trends. Individual project requests are handled on a case by case basis.
