PORTLAND – Feel the thunderclap of creativity this winter term in two new classes at Portland Community College’s Cascade Campus that tackle the atypical topics of sculpture and documentary script writing.
In Art 293 – Sculpture, a three-credit class offered on Monday and Wednesday evenings, you’ll work with a highly respected and often shown sculptor Cindy DeCecco to develop you skills in hands-on exploration of this art form. Class starts Monday, Jan. 5
Award-winning documentary writer and producer Keith Bowen leads Documentary Script Writing and Production (WR 299) on Thursdays from 6 to 8:50 p.m. In this three-credit class, Bowen will walk you through the steps of developing your ideas, identifying markets, researching your topic, writing your proposal and your documentary script, and exploring the creation of interactive documentaries. Class begins Thursday, Jan. 8.
Cost is $108 for either class. Sculpture meets from 6 to 8:50 p.m. in Terrell Hall 203 and has a $12 materials fee; Documentary meets in the Student Services Building, Room 223 and has certain prerequisites. Cascade Campus is located at 705 N. Killingsworth. For more information, call PCC at 978-5222.
