PCC to Help Book Your Spot in the Travel Industry

TIGARD – Have you ever wondered if you were getting the best deal on your holiday travel package? Did you ever want the skills to become a travel agent? Portland Community College offers an 11-week program designed to give you the basic skills to become just that in the non-credit class Travel Reservation Computer Training. Students will learn how to operate a computer reservation system for the airlines, travel agencies, auto agencies, cruise lines and hotels.The course will meet from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday between Tuesday, Jan. 9 and Thursday, March 22 in room E76 at Tigard High School, located at 9000 S.W. Durham Road. The cost of the class is $904 and will be taught by a practicing travel agent. Completion of this course should prepare students for an entry-level position in the travel industry.
