PCC Foundation Welcomes Three Newcomers to its Board

PORTLAND, Ore. – The PCC Foundation Board in March appointed three new members. They are all residents of Lake Oswego. Cheryl Burgermeister is a PCC and PSU graduate, and serves as a trustee for the Select Sector SPDR Funds at State Street Bank and Trust/Boston and is also a trustee for the Zero Gravity Internet Fund. She will be taking over as Foundation treasurer. Armando Gutierrez provides translation and consulting services to many local schools, businesses and hospitals. Tom Fahey, human resources director at Wacker Siltronic, has been involved in the high-tech industry in Portland for more than 20 years. He and Gutierrez have also taken classes at the college.Burgermeister is a graduate of PCC’s Radiographic Technology program and has a bachelor’s degree in business accounting from Portland State University. Burgermeister worked with fellow board member Mary Savage in Providence Health System’s radiography department before earning her CPA degree and moving on to a career in finance. She was formerly chief financial officer of the board at Crabbe Huson Group. She looks forward to serving the community as a member of the Foundation Board and also helping us with the finance/investment committee.Fahey began his career at Wacker in 1979, then moved to OKI Semiconductor, but returned to Wacker two years ago. He has been involved with the college for at least 20 years, and is interested in helping the Foundation raise money and reach out to the high-tech community.Gutierrez owns a consulting business and works with companies locally, regionally and internationally in providing translation and consulting services to promote multi-cultural understanding. Gutierrez looks forward to raising awareness of the PCC Foundation among the Hispanic community and to develop an active alumni outreach program.
