Discover Digital Photography Via the Internet

The world of digital photography will be explored on the Internet this summer through Portland Community College’s Community Education Online Learning program.The non-credit online class provides an introduction to the new technology that is driving the photographic world in the 21st century. Class topics include the basics of digital photography, equipment and software needs, Internet and e-mail use, the digital darkroom, printing pictures, expected costs, and commercial and personal applications. The class is suitable for those new to photography or professionals looking for a complement to traditional photography, and will provide an overview of new opportunities for putting digital photography to use. Three sessions of the class will be offered this summer. Classes begin monthly, and offer six weeks of web-based instruction via personal computer and over the Internet. This class will be taught online by Beverly Schulz. Start dates are Wednesdays, June 13, July 11, and Aug. 8. Two lessons are released each week. Students do not have to be present when lessons are released. Tuition for each class is $69.
