Two Items: Drawing and Japanese Floral Design Classes at PCC

Take a Life Drawing Class this Summer through PCC ALOHA, Ore. – PCC brings Life Drawing to the Capital Center in Aloha this summer with live models at each class. The eight-week, non-credit course will be offered on two different evenings – from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Mondays, beginning July 9 through Aug. 27, or on Tuesdays, July 10 through Aug. 28 in room 1520 of the Capital Center. The instructor, Timothy Tanner, brings a focused approach to drawing with a series of exercises that will help students draw faces, hands and feet. "This is a great class for beginners to all levels,"he said. Please bring pencil or charcoal and an 18?x 24"newsprint pad to class. The cost is $48, plus $24 payable to the instructor for the model’s fee. The Capital Center is located at N.W. 185th and Walker Road in Aloha. PCC Sets Japanese Floral Design ALOHA, Ore. – Discover the ancient Japanese art of floral arrangement with Ikebana – Japanese Floral Design, a four-week, non-credit class offered for four different sessions at the Capital Center in Aloha, N.W. 185th and Walker Road, Room 1570. The classes will be held on Tuesday, July 10 through July 31, and Aug. 7 through Aug. 28, from 1 to 4 p.m. and again from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.. Taught by Yoshiko Williams, she said, "This is an artistic way to continue enriching your life and the concept of your environment with the help of all of the glories of the plant life."Williams said that both basic and freestyle design will be taught.
