Discover Digital Photography Online

Photos and story by

PORTLAND, Ore. – Capture the power of digital photography! A PCC online course can help you take expert electronic photos which then can be downloaded and transmitted to friends and family, or even incorporated into your own online photo album. Discover Digital Photography, a non-credit course, will explain the basics of equipment, software, the digital darkroom, printing, Internet and email use, along with commercial and personal applications. Instructor Beverly Schulz will also survey the equipment available and share what you can expect to pay. This course is unique from other photography courses because all lessons take place online! Students can download the lessons from their personal computers, participate in email discussions, and immediately test their new skills by experimenting with digital image files during the course. Students can register by visiting www.ourcoursescome2u.com. The course will be held three times this fall: Wednesday, Sept. 18 through Friday, Oct. 25; Wednesday, Oct. 16 through Friday, Nov. 22; and Wednesday, Nov. 20 through Friday, Dec. 27. Students can open the lessons any time for the duration of course. Cost is $69. For more information, contact PCC Community Education at 503-731-6619.
