Workshop Examines Father-Daughter Relationship

PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Community College will offer an inside look at how daughters’ traditional relationships with their fathers ultimately shape the women they become. Fathers and Daughters, a non-credit class, will be offered in a one-day workshop format. Instructor Karen Karelius will explore the importance of this interaction for women’s development, how to determine the specific type of relationship you grew up with, and steps to heal or enhance your communication with your father today. The class will meet from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, in Room 206 of the ST Building at PCC’s Sylvania Campus, 12000 S.W. 49th Ave. Cost is $25.
