Staff changes in ROOTS, TITLE III offices at Sylvania

There are new faces to the Office of Academic and Student Affairs. ROOTS Director Miriam Friedman accepted an offer to be PCC’s Interim Director of the Grants Office. Lynn Montoya replaces Friedman as interim ROOTS director. Also in Friedman’s area, Gail Schwartz was recently hired as a grants officer. She has 19 years of experience in researching and writing proposals.

The Title III office has two new staff members – Stedman Burroughs and Roxanna Rico. They will serve through the end of the grant in September 2008. Burroughs is serving as the retention coordinator and brings many years experience working as an academic advisor at Rock Creek Campus. Rico, who will provide administrative support, is currently working part-time at the Rock Creek Testing Center and previously worked for the Rock Creek Child Care Center. She is currently a student and served as a mentor for the Oregon 欧洲杯决赛竞猜app_欧洲杯足球网-投注|官网 Institute (OLI).

Steve Smith will continue to serve as the director of the Curriculum Support Office. Rick Aman, along with John Sneed and Sue Quast, will assume all technology-related responsibilities related to Distance Learning, Instructional Technology, Video, and Professional Assistance.
