Question: If bond passes, will new staff be hired?

Photos and story by

Here’s a question about the bond that comes up a lot:

“If we build all these new facilities, will we have the same staff, just spread thinner?”

Nope.

President Pulliams has made it clear that that way lies madness. Folks already are stretched pretty thin in many departments. So, if the bond is successful and PCC gets some new buildings, the president is committed to hiring new personnel on the same percentages that exist today: More classified staff, more academic professionals, more part-time faculty, more full-time faculty.

But not, I’m told, another public affairs managers. I’m told the president is re-thinking the logic of hiring me in the first place. Can’t think why.
