The college advancement team now has bond buttons

Photos and story by

We now have buttons in our office that say: “Ask me about the PCC bond measure.”

You’ll notice it doesn’t advocate for a “yes” vote. That would be against the rules of the Secretary of State (Bradbury, not Rice).

While advocacy is prohibited while on the clock, an informational campaign is absolutely A-OK. So, if anyone stops any of us and says, “So? What about this bond?” It’s within the rules to say, “The money would go toward more classrooms and labs to serve more students; improved workforce training; and up-to-date technology in the classroom.”

If you want a button, drop me a note at dana.haynes@pcc.edu or come by CC 235, Sylvania.

Cheers.
