Here is a look at some of the news stories about PCC from around the local area and the nation in February. In total, PCC events and people appeared 104 times in the local community or national online media, newspapers or TV/radio. This is an increase of 112 percent from the same time period a year ago.
Feb. 2, the Newberg Graphic highlighted PCC’s Transfer Days event at all of the campuses.
Feb. 5, the Cascade Festival of African Films was featured in The Oregonian by Shawn Levy, the Bargain Entertainment Pick of OregonLive, The Portland Skanner newspaper, Portland Observer, the California Chronicle and PSU Daily Vanguard.
Feb. 5, Mayor Adams will set aside $2 million for PCC and other community college students to pay for school, according to the Willamette Week.
Feb. 10, The Oregonian’s David Sarasohn interviewed Preston Pulliams on his story about the Portland Mayor’s pledge of $2 million for community college stuents.
