CLIMB opens in grand style

Photos and story by

On Tuesday, Sept. 28, Portland Community College officially re-opened the old Central Portland Workforce Training Center as the CLIMB Center (Continuous Learning for Individuals, Management and Business), dedicated to business and professional training. Nearly 200 members of PCC, the public and business community attended to meet CLIMB directors and instructors, tour the building and learn more about the center’s training and development programs.

The building was formally opened with a ribbon cutting by the Portland Business Alliance and a performance across the face of the building by the A-WOL aerial dance troupe. The CLIMB Center matches working professionals and entrepreneurs with expert training that advances careers, strengthens teams and improves overall business operations. CLIMB’s training areas include small business development, health professionals training, professional development and contract training.
