Stakeholders working with 3-D Model

THA Architecture has developed a three-dimensional model of existing buildings on the Cascade Campus and along the Killingsworth business corridor using a remarkable new technology – 3D digital printing.? In the months ahead, PCC and THA will be using the model to explore campus development options with community stakeholders, including a new advisory committee once it gets up and running.

Working with Cascade Campus 3-D Model

The model offers participants a hands-on opportunity to place simple building blocks of various colors on a large table top map of Cascade Campus and the surrounding neighborhood.?The blocks can represent various aspects of a development proposal, including classrooms, offices, retail, parking and mixed-use buildings.? Individually or as a group, participants physically move blocks around to visually investigate different building scenarios. As PCC’s begins its planning process, we will continue to use the model as a tool for exploring ideas with community stakeholders.
