Here is a look at some of the news stories about PCC from around the local area and the nation in November. In total, PCC events and people appeared 61 times in the local community or national online media, newspapers or TV/radio.

Nov. 1, Salem-news.com showcased the Senior Studies Institute’s 20th anniversary.

Nov. 3, Newberg Graphic featured the start of construction work at the site of the future Newberg Center.

Nov. 9, The Oregonian’s Bill Graves, Newberg Graphic and the Lake Oswego Review focused on PCC’s enrollment growth.

Nov. 9, the Rock Creek Campus bond plan was highlighted by The Oregonian in its Washington County blog and The Hillsboro Argus’s front page.

Nov. 11, PCC student Jeff Christian’s journey to Oregon State through PCC was highlighted in a special Times Section called “College Fair.”

Nov. 17, the International Education Week celebration and student Nguyen Truong were profiled by The Portland Observer and The Oregonian.

Nov. 18, The Oregonian, Beaverton Valley Times and The Daily Journal of Commerce featured Rock Creek’s growing enrollment and how the new bond plan will address it.

Nov. 18, The Lake Oswego Review explored the positive effects of the PCC bond in the story, “PCC bond makes a difference.”

Nov. 24, The Forest Grove News Times, Classes2Careers, The Oregonian’s School Report and The Hillsboro Argus ran our story about the new high school equivalency program’s $2.2 million grant.

Nov. 29, The Tigard-Tualatin Times and Beaverton Valley Times featured Diesel Tech student Brandon Place.

Nov. 29, PCC was ranked the 33rd fastest growing community college in the nation of 10,000 or more enrollment by Community College Week.
