So you think you’re smarter than a Southeast Center instructor

Each weekend, thousands of Americans rack their brains to solve the puzzle on National Public Radio’s “Weekend Edition Sunday,” which pits New York Times puzzle-guru Will Shortz against some hapless citizen.

Not last Sunday.

That edition, PCC liberal arts instructor Jefferson Ranck shredded Mr. Shortz, ripping seamlessly through a tough quiz. Host Liane Hansen gushed, “Jefferson, you are amazing!”

This was not news to PCC’s Southeast Center, where Jefferson Ranck is an instructor. Amazing? Check mark.
