PHOTOS: Art Beat chalk mural at Cascade welcomes artists of all kinds

A massive blackboard structure has been erected in the middle of the Cascade Campus from May 7-11 where the community can stop by and express themselves. On the first day of Art Beat, plenty of students lingered to fill the panels with all sorts of visual and written art.
Also on Monday, Ural Thomas performed live at Cascade’s outdoor dining area for Art Beat. Thomas, who has played the past 40 years at the “House of Entertainment,” has backed the Kingsmen, Paul Revere and the Raiders, the Cavaliers, the Vikings, Billy Larkin and the Delegates, and Neil Diamond.
