State’s largest college grows for 19th straight term

For the 19th consecutive term, Portland Community College has grown.
This spring term, the college grew by 3.9 percent in credit enrollment to a total of 9,644 FTE (full-time equivalent) and 3.5 percent in total headcount to 45,967 students, according to the college’s fourth week report on enrollment, the standard week for reporting enrollment to the state.

By campus, here is how spring term enrollment has unfolded across the district:
Cascade Campus (705 N. Killingsworth St.) – The biggest growth happened at PCC’s inner Northeast campus. It grew by 8.5 percent in overall headcount to a spring term total of 12,202 students and 5.4 percent in credit enrollment to a total of 2,089 FTE.
Rock Creek Campus (17705 N.W. Springville Road) – The campus’ headcount grew by 5.3 percent (13,378) and the number of credit students rose by 3.3 percent (2,461 FTE).
Sylvania Campus (12000 S.W. 49th Ave.) – The biggest PCC campus inched up by 3.2-percent in total student enrollment (17,307) and 2.7 percent in FTE (3,500).
Southeast Center/Extended Learning Campus (2305 S.E. 82nd and Division) – The center’s core credit enrollment increased by 2.1 percent (1,003 FTE).
