Women’s Self-Care Retreat set for all day at Rock Creek on April 11

The Women’s Resource Center at the Rock Creek Campus is presenting the Women’s Self-Care Retreat from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Friday, April 11, in the Event Center, Building 9. Tickets are $10 for students and $15 for general admission. All proceeds benefit women returning to college.
The keynote speaker is Lea McLeod, a former Fortune 15 executive and founder of the Job Success Lab. She will discuss “5 Strategies to Increase Confidence, Power and Profit for Women in the Workplace.” The three breakout sessions, 60 to 75 minutes long, include “The Imposter Syndrome”; “Women’s Self-Defense Class”; and “Make Your Own Video Game.” The ticket includes the continental breakfast, lunch and a STEM career fashion show. Also on the agenda are silent auction baskets and door prizes.
