Building 5 renovation celebrated with beam signing

The community at?Rock Creek Campus attended a ceremonial beam signing at the construction site of Building 5 on Monday, Feb. 23. Campus President Sandra Fowler-Hill along with a cast of deans,?faculty, staff and students ventured into the newly erected structure to sign one of the support beams with colored markers.?The renovation is made possible?by?the?$374 million voter-approved bond measure?in 2008.?PCC is investing more than $63 million to build, renovate and upgrade the Rock Creek Campus. When completed,?Building 5 will be the hub of student life and activity there.?New features will include a bookstore, expanded food services, study areas, student resource space, a student government area, a multipurpose physical education/dance classroom, office space for faculty, and labs for health and wellness programs.
