Photos and story by Janis Nichols
Heidi Zwicky has won the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) Columbia River Chapter Student Award for Best Kitchen.
The Design Build Remodel student received a $500 prize and the right to compete in NKBA’s National Design Competition, sponsored by WayFair, an e-commerce company that sells home furnishings and décor items. Should Zwicky win the competition, her design will be built and she will receive a cash prize and a trip to Orlando, Fla., to visit the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show, an inspiring, interactive platform owned by NKBA that showcases the latest product innovations and trends from leading kitchen and bath brands.
Zwicky, a Rock Creek Campus student, graduated June 16 with multiple Building Construction Technology (BCT) degrees, including Construction Management. Her first year BCT 118 Design Concept boards are currently featured in the Building 2 foyer near the BCT wood shop.
