PCC’s Theatre Arts celebrates 30 years of the PAC with ‘Christmas Carol’ adaptation
Story by James Hill. Art by PCC Theatre Arts.
Portland Community College’s Sylvania Performing Arts presents “A Christmas Carol” from November 21-24, 2024, at the PCC Performing Arts Center.
This stage adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic story follows Ebenezer Scrooge’s journey from a miserly old man to a kind-hearted figure after being visited by the spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Future.
“PCC’s theatrical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Christmas Carol embraces the heart and soul of a timeless masterpiece,” said Patrick Tangredi, theatre arts faculty and director. “While boasting hundreds of hours of student creativity on and backstage, including luscious costumes, dynamic scenery and lighting, beautifully crafted puppetry and heartwarming music, this production plunges the depths of the humanity revealed during Ebeneezer Scrooges epic journey from Tragic miser to Humble hearted hero.”
