Drop By for a Little 'Art After Hours'

LAKE OSWEGO – Explore the creative process and become inspired thanks to Portland Community College’s non-credit Art After Hours with the Portland Arts and Artists Lecture Series this fall. Local artists will present examples of their work and discuss underlying processes and philosophies. The featured presenters include textile artist Mary Catherine Lamb on Oct. 3, mosaic master Mary Tapogna on Oct. 10, watercolorist and oil painter Laura Ross-Paul on Oct. 17 and painting material expert Robert Gamblin on Oct. 24. This series is excellent for aspiring artists. Students will expand their vision, spark their own creativity and work toward integrating art into their daily life.The Art After Hours lectures will occur every Tuesday from 7:15-8:45 p.m., starting Tuesday, Oct. 3 and ending Oct. 24. The series will be held at the Lakewood Center for the Arts, located at 368 S. State Street in Lake Oswego. The cost of the series is $23, or $15 for each individual lecture.
