PEOPLE AND PLACES: Findley named interim dean for MMT

Dan Findley has been named the interim division dean for the Math, Manufacturing, and Transportation Division at the Rock Creek Campus.

Currently, Findley is the faculty chair for the Education Department at the Cascade Campus. His background includes both formal education and practical experiences such as private sector work in marketing, business development and instruction.

He has been active on PCC’s district-wide committees, and his interests include integration of instructional technology and supporting instructor effectiveness. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in business. He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in community college leadership.

Findley replaces Stuart Savin, who departed for a job in Pennsylvania.

Palmer named chair of OSD

Wendy Palmer is the new department chair for the Office of Students with Disabilities. She had been the coordinator for access resources for OSD. Her new role will be to serve as a liaison between the district-wide OSD functions and the campuses. For more information visit the OSD Web site at: pcc.edu/disability.
