Class Explores Floor Decorating with Paint

PORTLAND – Students will use an 18th century painting technique to create unique floor coverings in a three-week, non-credit course being offered this fall by Portland Community College.Painted Floor Cloth will meet from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, Sept. 27 through Oct. 11, in room C13 at Cedar Park Middle School, 11100 S.W. Parkway St. Cost is $23.50 plus a $20 materials fee paid at class. The technique to be used in class involves painting free-form or stenciling acrylics on canvas to create colorful floor coverings.
