The Portland Community College Foundation Board of Directors has added Karen Kervin, vice president and community relations manager for U.S. Bank’s Northwest Region, to its ranks.
The PCC Foundation has a 14-member board that supports and develops its mission. It is the only non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the college, helping students access education by awarding scholarships and building the college’s capacity to provide vital educational opportunities for the community at large. The volunteer board of directors represents a wide range of business and community interests.
“Karen brings a passion for the work that PCC does and she is dedicated to making college and career training accessible to thousands of residents,” said Rob Wagner, associate vice president of PCC’s College Advancement office. “We are lucky to have Karen aboard.”
Kervin has served in her current role with U.S. Bank since 2013, managing the U.S. Bank Foundation grants in the region. Prior to joining U.S. Bank, she was chief marketing officer for Portland law firm Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt. In addition, she serves on the board of the United Way of the Columbia-Willamette and is the immediate past president of the City Club of Portland.
“I am very impressed with the programs and people at PCC,” Kervin said. “I know that the time and resources I invest will be well spent.”
