Homeschooling to be Primary Subject of This PCC Class

SYLVANIA CAMPUS – Have you ever wondered why some parents are homeschooling their children? Find out why with the Portland Community College non-credit class Homeschooling: Learning in a Natural, Nurturing Environment. The course will teach that one size does not fit all when it comes to education, and that there are many alternatives that parents can use. The course will go from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesdays from July 11 to Aug. 1 in room 322 of the HT Building at the Sylvania Campus, located at 12000 S.W. 49th Ave.Tuition is $24 with a $4 fee payable to the instructor. Instructor Pennie Rowland will show students the basics of homeschooling. She says this is a great class for people who think their children need something other than the traditional form of education. For more information, call 503-731-6618.
