PCC's Metro One Stop Hosts Two Employment Seminars

PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Community College’s Portland Metropolitan Workforce Training Center, located at 5600 N.E. 42nd Ave., is hosting a Saturday seminar series designed to address both sides of employment issues. The series, Thirty Ways to Shine, offers attendees information to help with job searches and how to become effective professionals.The seminar, sponsored by the PCC Metro One Stop, will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 9 and the supervisor seminar will be at the same time on Saturday, June 23. These seminars will provide techniques on how to become better employees and how to be a dynamic employer, says PCC career specialist Carla Kombrink, who offers the workshop. These seminars are free and open to the public. The Portland Metropolitan Workforce Training Center is a designated Metro One Stop, an organization that offers diverse employment training to the community at large, and works towards improving community education.
