Guitar Class Gets You Strumming After Day One

TUALATIN, Ore. – Have you always wanted to learn to play the guitar? Portland Community College will offer the opportunity to get strumming with two levels of non-credit guitar courses this spring. Guitar – Level I will teach proper playing position, tuning and more while students learn several songs. Guitar – Level II will teach students to read guitar music, rhythm and advanced chords while exploring fretboard and arpeggio techniques. Cost is $41. Level I will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. and Level II will be held from 8 to 9 p.m., each Tuesday from April 2 through June 11 at Hazelbrook Middle School, 11300 S.W.
