Top Employers to Recruit at Job Fair

NORTHEAST PORTLAND – Would you like to meet some of Oregon’s top employers? Then look no farther than the Portland Community College Workforce Network Job Fair 2002. The Job Fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12 in Room 112 of Building 2 at the Portland Metropolitan Workforce Training Center, 5600 N.E. 42nd Ave. The event, which attracted more than 700 people last year, includes more than 20 companies featuring workshops on resumes, interviews and applications."The fair gives people an opportunity to make personal contact with employers who are actively looking for people to fill jobs,"said Sara Neill, employment specialist with PCC’s Workforce Network. PCC Workforce Network’s Job Fair boasts an employer line-up including Tri-Met, Kaiser Permanente, State Farm Insurance, Fred Meyer, U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife, Portland Fire Bureau, Northwest Pipe, Oregon Feralloy, Swan Island Dairy, Portland Habilitation Center, Automatic Data Processing and Livebridge. The fair provides networking opportunities for students, employers, and people seeking new career options. Additionally, there will be job matching, assistance with filling out applications and door prizes. Job seekers are encouraged to bring resumes.
