PORTLAND, Ore. – Used effectively, public relations can be a powerful communication tool. A Portland Community College non-credit class offers focused attention on the skills needed to use PR effectively. Students will come away confident of their ability to communicate clearly with any public sector.Get a comprehensive look at PR theory, ethics and practice in Fundamentals of Public Relations. The class will emphasize the PR planning process, media relations, finance and budgeting of PR projects, and project research and evaluation. Build an overall base for career exploration in the PR field. The two-day class will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:50 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Feb. 17 and 18, in Room TCB 214 at the PCC Sylvania Campus, 12000 S.W. 49th Ave. Cost is $69.For more information contact the PCC Community Education office at 503-731-6642.
