Legislative Reception attracts political movers and shakers to PCC

Portland Community College’s Sylvania Campus was abuzz with political energy on January 30 as it played host to the annual Legislative Reception. 欧洲杯决赛竞猜app_欧洲杯足球网-投注|官网ing its reputation as a must-attend event, the soirée drew over a dozen influential elected officials, notably featuring State Senate President Rob Wagner and State Senator Michael Dembrow.

College leaders, led by President Dr. Adrien Bennings, engaged in discussions about pivotal initiatives and programs. The event also served as a crucial platform for legislators to voice their priorities for the impending short session in Salem, commencing next week. But Student Kadence Hoover stole the show as she spoke about her journey to PCC and how the college’s support systems inspired her on in her academic pathway.

The guest list included the PCC Board of Directors, PCC Foundation board members, the Oregon Community College Association, and prominent state representatives such as Tawna Sanchez, Hai Pham, Courtney Neron, Rob Nosse, Lisa Reynolds, Ben Bowman, Dacia Grayber and Hoa Nguyen. This convergence of educational and legislative forces promises an impactful future for community-focused endeavors.
