Camtasia
Camtasia is a computer screen capturing software used to create video tutorials of an on screen action. With Camtasia Studio, educators can record narrated PowerPoint presentations and post them as online lectures or learning supplements for their students. Add media & interactive hot spots to enhance your lecture. Camtasia is used for online, classroom/web, and classroom based classes.

If you plan to host the video on YouTube or Kaltura, you will have to export the video as mp4?without the caption and extract the caption file separately as a .srt file.?Follow this guide to learn?how to export caption (at the bottom of the page).

Software Access
Online Learning provides a copy of Camtasia licenses for any instructors who have completed the Online Instructor Orientation (OIO) and is using the license to develop content for fully online (WEB) courses. Campus instructors, remote instructors, and staff will need to speak with their dean about purchasing a license through IT (it-buy@pcc.edu).
To obtain a license of Camtasia, fill-in the following form: Camtasia Request Form. Make sure you follow the Copyright and Accessibility Standards when creating your files.
Alternatives
If you cannot get a Camtasia license, you can consider using other tools to record your screen.
