Donations are incredibly helpful and always appreciated at the Panther Pantry.? Nearly all our operational expenses are paid for by students through the Student Activity Fee, so the? donations we receive are used to distribute food and other essential items directly to students!?

Meeting a need

According to a 2023 Student Basic Needs Survey conducted by the Hope Center, 43% of PCC students reported that they experience food insecurity.?

Through partnerships with donors like Oregon Food Bank and a number of local businesses, the Panther Pantry is able to serve over 400 students per day at our 4 campuses.? In the 2023-24 academic year, our pantries had over 69,000 visits and distributed 361,114 pounds of food, a 70% increase over the previous year! (view our full report)

Your donation makes a difference

In a 2024 survey of Panther Pantry users, 83% of students reported they were better able to focus on their studies and 95% of students report that they were treated with dignity and respect while visiting the pantry. One student stated, “If not for the pantry, I would not have enough food to eat each month”.
