The PCC Small Business 欧洲杯决赛竞猜app_欧洲杯足球网-投注|官网ment Center’s CGBP Professional 欧洲杯决赛竞猜app_欧洲杯足球网-投注|官网ment Training is the only course in the Northwest offering a robust introduction to international trade, and that prepares you to get the CGBP credential.

The program

This training is fast-paced, spanning two-and-a-half days, during which you will meet for 8 hours on the first two days, and four hours on the final day. The program will cover areas of the exam taught by a CGBP professional, culminating in a practice exam. Topics include:

  • Global management
  • Global marketing
  • Global supply chain
  • Trade finance
  • Practice exam

The PCC SBDC has advised and taught business owners how to go global and navigate the intricacies of international trade for over 20 years. The SBDC has 6 CGBPs and 3 CGBP-certified trainers on staff.

The instructors

Jim Foley

Jim Foley is the former President of the North American Small Business International Trade Educators (NASBITE) and currently serves as Director of the Turner Center for Entrepreneurship and the Illinois SBDC International Trade Center at Bradley University. He is also the Director of International Programs for the Foster College of Business. The CGBP designation is accredited by both NASBITE and the US Department of Commerce. Author of “The Global Entrepreneur: Taking Your Business International,” Jim Foley’s experience spans 35 years of marketing, sales, corporate management, and small business consulting.

David W. Kohl

David Kohl is a Department of Commerce certified international trade adviser with a mission to identify and realize global opportunities for individuals and organizations. He has specialized expertise in cross-cultural relations and also the East Asia region. His extensive international network and deep experience working with Fortune 500 companies, top-ranked universities, and government agencies around the world provide his clients with a unique set of resources and opportunities that create a distinct advantage in a dynamic and competitive world. David’s clients have included The Embassy of the United States of America in Beijing, DuPont, Nike, Intel, Logitech, and security agencies at Portland International Airport.

He is a federally appointed member of the District Export Council of Oregon and also serves as International Trade Liaison for the State of Oregon’s SBDC International Trade Center. David is a NASBITE Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP) and Certified CGBP trainer.

David has served two terms as President of the Northwest China Council, remains on the Executive Committee, and additionally, sits on the Citizen’s Advisory Board for the Confucius Institute at Portland State University. He also teaches as an adjunct professor in the MBA program at the University of Portland.

His degrees include a BA in Business Administration from the University of Oregon and a Master of International Management (MIM) from Portland State University. He has also earned diplomas from Beijing Language and Culture University, as well as the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, China.
