Apply to Emergency Medical Services

To join this program, you must apply for admission. Each option requires students to complete specific prerequisite and program requirements prior to application and admission.

  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): This is a certificate that takes less than one year to complete. This program is for those who want to prepare to take the Oregon and NREMT exams. Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis, based on fully completing the application process. For best consideration, all minimum application requirements need to be complete two weeks prior to the start of your intended term. Class capacity varies by term.
  • Emergency Medical Services: Graduates will earn a one-year certification in Emergency Medical Services. This program is intended for students wanting to continue their emergency services education following completion of the EMT courses EMS 105 and EMS 106. Class capacity varies by term.   • Paramedic: Graduates earn an Associates of Applied Science. This program is for those with an Oregon EMT license who want to take the NREMT Paramedic exam. Admission is based on an application and testing process. 24 students are admitted each year, typically in winter term. Applications are accepted annually from July to September.
